Costs of Carefree Cottaging


Your costs, and therefore your savings, depend entirely upon how much time you wish to purchase. Carefree Cottaging is set up to allow for maximum flexibility. You, and only you, dictate how many weeks or days you want to spend at "your" cottage.

Flexibility in Spending Your Time

Unlike fractional ownership there are no rules about how or when you can spend your time. Select your choice of weeks, weekend, or midweek stays from available inventory, calculate the full rate costs, including any advertised specials that would decrease the rate, and then apply the discounts as follows:

  • Purchase just 14 days.. yes, that's right just rent 2 weeks.. and we will give you 10% off all of your all non-summer rental time.
  • Purchase 21 days and save 15% off all your non-summer rental time.
  • Purchase 28 days and save 20% off all your non-summer rental time!!

The Extras

  • Get a free 4 hour motorized boat rental per week rented from May to October (gas additional)
  • Get 1 day free rentals and passes for 2 people for any reservation occurring when the ski trails are open
  • Laundry use free during each stay subject to availability
  • Priority positioning on waiting lists for heavily occupied periods of time and popular cottages
  • Use of silent watercraft subject to availability
  • Free boat dockage subject to availability and advanced booking
  • Pets permitted in designated cottages at no additional cost

Please note that even though there is no discount applied to any summer weeks that you choose to include, the time you spend here in the summer is accrued in terms of calculating the percentage discount you receive. For example: If you spend two weeks here in the summer and wish to include some spring, fall or winter weekends in your Carefree Cottaging Package you will get a 10% discount off those non-summer stays. This means that by purchasing only 7 additional days you increase your discount to 15% off those stays.

2 off-season weeks $1564 $1407.60-- 10% off
1 summer week and 2 off season weeks $2959 $2724.40 -- 15% off on non-summer weeks only


Terms and Conditions

  • 50% down at time of commitment.-- 12 month period runs from date chosen at time of signing of contract
  • remainder paid in equal payments at time of each visit.
  • 5% PST and 5%GST are added to all costs shown above
  • weeks can all be booked at time of commitment or as you know your schedule – however, the longer you wait to book the less choice you will have.
  • all the normal policies of Willow Beach Cottages, with the exception of fees, apply to guests choosing the carefree cottaging option.
  • bookings cancelled with 2 months notice can be transferred to other available dates in the same 12 month period.
  • weeks not taken prior to the end of the 12 month period are forfeited.
  • Carefree cottaging guests have first priority on waiting list, over short term customers, when attempting to gain access to a popular time of year.
  • Selected weeks can be transferred to family or friends (subject to approval of Willow Beach Cottage owners)
  • Occupants of cottage limited to 6 in 2 bedroom, 8 in 3 bedroom, 9 in 4 bedroom. Prices may vary according to occupancy.
